*snickers* Doc only has the knowledge and understanding because it was given to him. He would rather he didn't. And Part IV is post-Crash, when everything has changed and everyone is kind of traumatized (end of the world will do that to ya). I think you'll enjoy Doc a lot more in the next part (Part I) where he's generally more talkative and obnoxious.
