I can see the Wes and Devin thing going either way. With Devin's POV coming first you get to see how weird Wes is first before you experience him.

I guess I think it will be easier to write Devin's POV first then Wes'. At least it would be for me. But you could make it work the other way around if you do it correctly.

Write it however you want and I'll tell you if it works for me or not. I'm still just one person and one opinion so.

I think it just depends on how you right it.
